Having spent a large part of her career in international affairs, she acted as policy civil servant and trade negotiator, working closely with businesses and government. She helped the EU government strengthen relationships through bilateral trade negotiations by tackling trade barriers with Australia and New Zealand.
Background
During her tenure as Deputy Director of Finance at DTI Energy Group, she managed strategic and organisational change, redesigning the DTI work/life balance company policy. Her role at the Department of Trade and Industry was focused around developing the DTI innovation strategy and policy, and influencing new R&D tax credit for large firms at the Department.
